Welcome

WELCOME TO THE UPPER MERION SENIOR SERVICE CENTER

As we move at full speed into Spring, I am sure we are all anxious to get outside and enjoy some sunshine. I know the Garden Club is thinking about what they will undertake this year after the cleanup. If anyone is interested in “digging in the dirt,” let the office staff know so you can be included in meeting notices.

March has been an incredibly busy month for the Senior Center; it’s staff, Board members, and the many volunteers who worked on all our projects. I hope you have all had an opportunity to take part in some or all our extraordinary events. Many thanks to everyone for their support.

The Upper Merion Senior Service Center will be celebrating 30 years since its inception in 1997.  Community leaders all those years ago had the forethought to recognize the importance of providing services for the senior members of our community. At some point this year, the Board will plan an event for 2027 in recognition of our 30-year anniversary.

I hope more of our members will take advantage of our new evening hours on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 7. The bocce courts are ready as well as cornhole. If a group would like to use the game room,  that is also available for whatever games you may want to play. Stop by and see if the new time and activities are right for you.

As always, I hope to see you around the Center, enjoying our activities and each other.

Sharon Brzoska, President

WEATHER CONCERNS

When the weather is bad please call the senior center after 7:30 AM and listen to the voice mail message  before venturing out.  The voice mail message will indicate if we are closed.   The best way to find out if the senior center is closed is to call first (610-265-4715).
